The Unauthorised Biography of Ezra Maas special edition has been reviewed by The Times & Sunday Times newspaper, which named the novel among its best new releases for May 2022. On Pg.19 of this weekend’s 'Saturday Review' supplement, you’ll find an excellent and highly quotable review of the book by Mark Sanderson. Although the online version of the review is behind The Times’ paywall for subscribers, I’ve posted a couple of pictures of the physical version below. Maas Lives

The special edition of my debut novel, The Unauthorised Biography of Ezra Maas, will be published this year by Valley Press.

The new cover was designed by Peter Barnfather and features artwork created by Nick Loaring at The Print Project. The interior of the book features a number of artworks by leading contemporary artist Hanna ten Doornkaat (whose work also appears on the cover), photography by Tiny Golden Books, editorial design by Mike Corrao, and illustrations by Laura Barnard, alongside dozens of authentic newspaper clippings, historic documents and records, handwritten letters, phone transcripts, emails, and more.

This is the definitive version of the book, which The Maas Foundation has worked so hard to censor and suppress over the years. In 2022, Maas Lives…

Ezra Maas at Read Holmfirth

I had a great time at Read Holmfirth in West Yorkshire at the end of January. Thank you to the owners of the shop, Louise and James, for inviting me along and organising the event, and to all of their customers who came on the night. It was a pleasure to meet everyone and talk about my novel with such an attentive audience. Read Holmfirth is a beautiful independent bookshop in a very picturesque town, and I highly recommend visiting. James, Louise, their staff, and their customers, have created something very special.

Live on BBC Radio Newcastle

I kicked off the new year in style with a live radio interview on BBC Radio Newcastle. I appeared on The Evening Show with Mel Crawford and talked about my journey towards publication, the inspiration behind my debut novel, the highs and lows of my first year as a published author, and much more.
